5 ways to help keep your office organised and de-cluttered

2 min

Reorganising your office may seem a daunting task but it can help your workplace become more efficient and a productive place to work. Work surroundings can have a significant impact on your staff’s focus and efficiency so it’s essential to ensure that the work environment is well organised. Simple office organisation ideas can make a substantial difference and we are here to help.

1) Cable Management

Keep those loose wires clean and tidy with our cable management solutions such as our Durable Cavoline cable management boxes and  clips to help keep computer and machinery cables tidy and avoid a trip hazard to staff members. We also sell cable management mats for wires and cables, which have visible hazard edging to highlight a potential hazard.

2) Filing away your paperwork

Your office is likely to accumulate paper documents and archives, so having the right storage solution for these documents is vital. Personal data needs to be locked away so we would recommend a filing cabinet (metal or wood). Less sensitive paperwork can be put into cardboard or plastic archive boxes.

3) Create extra space with shelving

By removing things from your floor space, this can open up your office spacing a lot more. All you need is a simple shelf or bookcase to keep those stacks of catalogues or folders on. Do you keep your stationery in a cuppboard? No office is complete without a stationery cupboard for all to go into for their stationery supplies such as pens and paperclips

4) Add a whiteboard or noticeboard

Do you have a staff area to keep your important notices up? Or maybe you need a space to generate ideas using a whiteboard for those collaborative meetings. Felt boards or great for pinning notices up to staff members and documentation that needs to circulate around.

5) Waste bins

Rubbish belongs in bins, so make sure your premises has enough of them around for staff to find a handy rubbish bin to deposit their litter. Some may be confidential waste that needs shredding and we highly recommending recycling where you can on waste too.
