How to plan ahead for events and exhibitions

2 min

With the lifting of restrictions, events and exhibitions are back and many of us are back on the road in attendance. If you're running a stand at an event or conference then you'll want to be prepared in plenty of time before the big day. Here are some tips on how to be prepared.

Forward planning

It's always good to forward plan for events, so a diary or planner definitely comes in handy here. You'll need to ensure you have a strategy for your event and also plan out the items you'll need to support your strategy. Organisers can be under a lot of stress without planning, so it certainly helps towards the day of the event.

Clearly display your literature

Leaflets and catalogues are always a given at an event and help to sell your range and depth of product to potential clients, so you'll be needing a literature display stand to display your marketing collateral and allow for easy distribution to clients who want to pick up a catalogue to take away with them and review your offering.

Be recognised with name badges and business cards

How often do you come away from an event and forget all the people you've met and spoken to. That's where a name badge can come in handy, as it will signpost immediately who you're speaking to on the stand. You can either order these pre-made or produce them in-house at a lower cost such as the Duracard ID 300 badge printer

Have an exhibition stand to show and tell

You want your stand to look the part, so why not look at display exhibition panels to pin up some eye-catching posters or banners you

have to show. These can display your latest offers or new product ranges/services you offer. You can even be creative with whiteboards or post-it notes to really stand out too.

Keep your stands clean and tidy

Cleanliness on your stand is important as it presents just as much as your literature and yourself as a part of the exhibition stand. We recommend screen wipes for any screen displays you may use, as well as multipurpose surface wipes to keep your surfaces hygienic. You may also need whiteboard cleaning supplies if you choose to bring this.
