In today's Budget 2023 it was announced that the super deduction tax break will be succeeded by the "full expensing" regime from 1st April 2023 to March 31st 2026. That means purchases such as new office furniture, seating, computers and printers all continue to qualify from 1st April.
Full expensing allows companies across the UK to write off the full cost of qualifying plant and machinery investment in the year they invest. It can be deducted ‘in full and immediately’ from taxable profits.
Full expensing is available to companies subject to corporation tax only, reducing their tax by up to 25p for every £1 they spend on plant and machinery assets.
